Character Information:
Character Name: Anakin Solo
Age: 17 (should be 33)
Canon: Star Wars EU
Appearance: Anakin's a human male of average height with brown hair and ice blue eyes. His wardrobe varies quite a bit. One day he'll be wearing a flight suit and the next he'll be decked out in full Jedi garb. Later in his life he tended to lean toward a more roguish style, reminiscent of his father's.
Personality: Anakin is the bastard child of Leia Organa-Solo and Luke Skywalker. It all started one crazy night filled with Corellian Brandy and a Gizka. I'm kidding of course but the blue eyes and cleft chin had to come from somewhere...
Anakin Solo tends to be a bit of a difficult character to understand. Most people seem to think that he's always right and everything he does is the way to win but they all seem to brush off the fact that Anakin died. He's as flawed as everyone else, if not more so. Whether people are saying it or he's thinking it himself he's always battling with the atrocities of his namesake (way to push your problems off on your kids Leia) and because of that he's become daring to a fault. He thinks nothing of putting himself in harms way to save another and this lead to him becoming the most influential person in the Yuuzhan Vong War.
Aside from dealing with his name Anakin is constantly trying to prove himself worthy of Chewbacca's sacrifice. Chewie's death is, without question, the most influential thing in Anakin's life. His love and respect for Chewie are what make Anakin strive to always be better and always do the right thing, no matter the cost. To a lesser extent, Han's grief over Chewbacca's death makes Anakin want to show his father that he's a man and he's capable of taking responsibility for his own actions. Fortunately he does this with an incredible amount of maturity.
Some time after Anakin's death Luke and Ben Skywalker visited the Lake of Apparitions. It was there that they spoke briefly with Anakin, who had some surprising things to say. It was clear that Anakin had some understanding of what had gone on the years following his death but specific events and outcomes seemed to elude him. He made it a point to tell Luke and Ben not to let the Jedi Order depend on one Jedi to show them the way. Every Jedi had to be their own light. Because he had allowed himself to burn so much brighter than everyone else he had ultimately failed. Even in death Anakin shouldered the weight of the galaxy alone.
Anakin isn't all business all the time though. In fact he's the real joker out of the three Solo children. Sorry Jacen but... you need a better audience than Tenel Ka. He's endearingly sarcastic, appropriately snarky and maintains a youthful exuberance, despite the tragedies he and his family have faced.
Background: Wookieepedia: Anakin Solo I'm resurrecting Anakin after he appears in the Lake of Apparitions during Fate of the Jedi: Abyss. This gives me a lot of freedom to actually continue Anakin's journey while still keeping true to how the character has been written in the past.
Special Abilities or Weapons: Anakin is as bad as they come. Hell, he's even got a purple lightsaber. That's the Star Wars equivalent of a .44 Magnum. Being as it is a purple lightsaber, the most badass lightsaber in the galaxy, and would slice your head clean off, you've got to ask yourself one question: Do I feel lucky? Well, do ya, punk?
Anyway, Anakin is as much a walking manifestation of the Force as his uncle Luke Skywalker, and grandfather Anakin Skywalker are. He excels at using the Force in combat situations and is an expert swordsman, making him one of the most impressive combatants the galaxy has ever seen. He's also a skilled pilot, a gifted mechanic and is considered a genius (no lie).
Anakin truly came into his own and surpassed even his uncle, Luke Skywalker, in ways of understanding the Force. The Force wasn't everything, in the strictest sense. Instead it was a manifestation of something that ran deeper.
Also, Anakin makes Centerpoint Station his bitch.
Job: Jedi Knight (Sentinal)

First Person:
[The holo display is of a young man of average height and build. He stands, looking around as if looking for some sign of something before he fixes his piercing gaze on the device recording him. He peers into it as if the mere act of looking into it will allow him to find the answers he's looking for.]
I'm recording this message in the hopes of it reaching the Jedi Order or the Republic or... my family.
[The young man pauses for a moment as if considering the ramifications of what he's about to say.]
This is Anakin Solo... I'm alive.
[After a brief moment the holo displays disappears.]
Third Person:
Screaming. Anakin woke screaming. He didn't scream for long. He ran out of breath too quickly for that.
Ran out of breath? It was such an awkward thing to Anakin. Where he had been he didn't have to breathe. He actually had to concentrate just to take in a breath. Where he had been. Where had he been? He didn't quite know. He remembers flashes. Feelings. He remember seeing Luke and... was it Ben? To him, his baby cousin looked to be his age when he died.
Died. Anakin sat up in the bed as the memories of his own death flooded his mind. He brought his hand to his sweat covered chest and flinched at the sudden pressure before looking around the room, his eyes hurting, not recognizing where he was. He swung his legs over the edge of the bed and let his feet touch the floor. His feet shot up at the sensation of the cool metal beneath them.
Anakin slowly lowered his bare feet back onto the cold floor and adjusted to the sensation. He took another deep breath, feeling every fiber of his lungs stretch, and stood up. He suddenly grimaced at the sudden burden on his joints as they took his full weight. He felt his vertebrae grind together as he turned his head to look out the window. His eyes widened and he stumbled over, catching himself on the windowsill. It was familiar but... different at the same time. Newer almost. But it was definitely Coruscant.
Coruscant? That meant... Anakin's instincts took over and suddenly he was hyperventilating and stumbling backwards, away from the window. He couldn't maintain his balance and he fell to the floor with his back against the far wall.
"No, nonono," he sobbed, bringing his hands to his face. "I don't want to be back. I've failed enough." His throat was sore from talking and it felt as if his whole body was quaking with the beat of his racing heart. The monotonous thumping only drove him further over the edge as he sat there crying.
It took a few minutes but eventually Anakin calmed down and wiped the tears from his face. He stood up smoothly. Gone were the painful sensations. He walked over to the window again. He stretched his hand out to touch the glass as if he could grasp the skyline. He stared at the sunset with the determination he was known for when he was alive. Wallowing in self-pity wasn't going to accomplish anything. He would fix his mistakes. They were his responsibility. He was a Jedi. The Order, his family and the rest of the New Rpublic had come to depend on him and that was his greatest failure. If he was capable of anything he would fix that. He would show the galaxy how to save itself.
Without Anakin Solo.
